A Trip To The Dallas Zoo

One nice thing about relocating is the chance to see new places. Last Saturday we took our first trip to the Dallas Zoo. The weather was fantastic...about 70 degrees and clear blue skies. We actually had to put sunscreen on in February. Here are a few highlights of our day........

Here are the girls on one of the many animal statues throughout the zoo. Of course, they had to sit on just about every single one. I won't bore you with all those pictures.

After they sat on the alligator, I told them each to pose with their head in the alligator's mouth and act really scared. Just look at the petrified looks on their faces....... (Looks like a trip to the Academy Awards is not in our future.)

The next pic is one of my favorites for a couple of reasons. First of all, Meg is really cute making fish faces at the fish. The funny part is that the fish seems to be enjoying it and making faces back at her. The other funny thing that you can't see in the photo is the totally annoyed face that Jenna is making at her sister. She was looking at her like she was some kind of a fish freak. I wish I could have captured that, but you'll just have to imagine......

This was neat. In one area, there was an underground tunnel with pop up domes where the kids to get a close up view of some of the smaller animals. Below, Jenna is in one of the domes looking at some ugly rodent cute little critter.

All in all it was a fun day. Next time we're going to head to the Fort Worth Zoo......
